YOUR FUTURE ROLE
The ideal candidate will be responsible for navigating this evolving environment, with support from MEE and Global OEC Leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
Offering guidance on compliance issues related to SAP's operations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, ensuring adherence to compliance principles in management decisions, thereby aligning SAP with top-tier compliance standards; Acting as a trusted advisor to senior management; Organizing, preparing, conducting, and following up on local Compliance Committees; Assisting in the formulation of policies and providing training on compliance subjects, including anti-bribery measures, competition law, confidentiality, conflict of interest management, government customer interactions, and fraud prevention; Overseeing compliance in sales operations: collaborating with business units to evaluate and validate sales, marketing, third-party transactions, and presales activities, serving as a trusted advisor and gatekeeper; Analyzing Due Diligence for partners and third parties; Evaluating sponsorships, donations, and memberships; Supporting compliance investigations and managing consequence management: developing consequence options with guidance from Global Compliance leadership, building consensus with relevant HR, Legal, and Business executives, and executing decisions; Acting as a liaison to Global Compliance leadership: addressing regional compliance inquiries and complaints, monitoring response mechanisms, and coordinating with relevant regional stakeholders; Staying informed about relevant laws and regulations; Following up on risk mitigation strategies; Tracking and reporting compliance issues and KPIs to OEC management periodically; This position reports to the Regional Compliance Officer MEE and is preferably based in SAP's offices in Germany; Occasional international travel may be necessary.YOUR PROFILE
Several years of relevant experience, particularly in compliance within an international or sales context; Experience in a corporate compliance department and/or legal or audit firm is highly desirable; Accredited legal professional or seasoned compliance expert (preferably with a legal background); Previous experience in the IT sector is advantageous; Proficient in business and legal English and German; Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills; Capable of conducting thorough research and interpreting written guidelines and documents; Strong understanding of codes of conduct, business ethics policies, and current compliance practices; Experience in managing compliance investigations is highly preferred; Proven ability to navigate complex issues and make risk-based decisions; Demonstrated capability to engage with senior leadership in dynamic settings; Experience in fraud or corruption detection and prevention is preferred; Proven ability to collaborate with international, virtual teams while being sensitive to cultural differences; Project management experience is highly valued; Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Proficient in MS Office tools and IT business environments.ABOUT THE TEAM
