Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Eurowings Digital GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of our software products. Your expertise will guide our cross-functional teams in establishing and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with diverse teams to reach consensus on the quality benchmarks for our software solutions.
  • Analyze product-related issues meticulously, exploring various potential solutions and selecting the most effective course of action for implementation.
  • Oversee testing cycles in alignment with release schedules, ensuring that the test case repository is consistently updated.
  • Engage in peer and business reviews to foster a unified understanding of our testing strategy across the organization.
  • Assess incoming defect reports, prioritizing them based on their impact and urgency.
  • Craft precise and effective test cases, ensuring clarity for both personal and team understanding.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation and enhance our testing methodologies.
  • Evaluate the final product against stakeholder expectations to determine its acceptability.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years in roles such as QA Engineer, Test Manager, or Test Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience in developing automated tests using frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or Electron.
  • At least 4 years of proficiency in programming languages, particularly Java and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
  • Experience in integrating simulation and emulation environments during testing phases.
  • Fluent in English, with additional languages considered an advantage.
  • Strong adaptability in communication, demonstrating empathy while addressing challenges with colleagues.
