Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Category Manager to join our team at FUCHS Group. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the global category strategy for automotive packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the global category strategy for automotive packages, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to Category Buyers to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to achieve their goals.
- Define targets for negotiations and lead the category team in achieving these targets.
- Responsible for global contract negotiations with suppliers.
- Lead the category team functionally and strengthen the category network within the FUCHS Group.
- Analyze and optimize suppliers and raw materials portfolios, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage suppliers strategically to ensure they meet the company's quality and delivery requirements.
Requirements:
- Completed studies in business, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in strategic procurement or category management, preferably in a global or regional set-up, or in a similar position such as B2B Sales, ideally in the automotive industry.
- High sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.
- Goal-oriented approach with strong strategic thinking skills.
- Collaborative personality with excellent communication skills and persuasiveness across different hierarchical levels.
- Proactive, determined, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work.
- Business fluent in German and English, with a willingness to travel internationally.
