Global Category Manager Automotive Packages

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Category Manager to join our team at FUCHS Group. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the global category strategy for automotive packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the global category strategy for automotive packages
  • Provide guidance and support to Category Buyers to achieve defined goals
  • Define targets for negotiations and lead global contract negotiations
  • Lead the category team functionally and strengthen the category network within the FUCHS group
  • Analyze and optimize suppliers and raw materials portfolios, and derive appropriate measures
  • Manage suppliers strategically

Requirements:

  • Completed studies with a focus on business, industrial engineering, or chemistry
  • Experience in strategic procurement/category management in a regional or global set-up or in a similar position like B2B Sales, ideally in the automotive industry
  • High sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
  • Goal-oriented way of working with strong strategic thinking skills
  • Collaborative personality with excellent communication skills and persuasiveness through different hierarchical levels to balance different interests in global matrix organizations
  • Proactive, determined, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Business fluent in German and English and willingness to travel internationally
