About the Role
Munich Re is seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our Integrated Risk Management division. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing methods and standards for risk modelling and risk reporting under Solvency II.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement risk capital assessment methods and processes on a Group level, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Deliver quarterly risk capital figures for Munich Re Group, with a special emphasis on top-level risk aggregation.
- Review and sign-off on decentralized model components, including legal entity risk models.
- Support the supervisory process, including model validation and risk figure reporting under Solvency II.
- Manage projects related to risk management, involving supervisory authorities.
- Compile presentations and reports to communicate key risk figures, concepts, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- University degree in mathematics, physics, economics, or a similar quantitative field.
- Practical experience in internal models, Solvency II, reserving, pricing, actuarial modelling, or data analytics.
- Ability to communicate complex matters clearly and transparently, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of and passion for digitalizing processes, with programming skills considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with good negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple interdisciplinary interfaces.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and German.
