Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will be responsible for performing the annual capital model cycle for the Solvency II internal model, including contributing to its calibration, model changes, validation, and documentation.
- Conduct quantitative risk management and risk analytics, contributing to the use test of the capital model, including conducting stress and scenario testing and providing risk opinions on risk-taking decisions under consideration of the risk-bearing capacity of the company.
- Contribute to the regulatory and internal risk reporting cycles, ensuring ongoing appropriate risk governance by maintaining documentation and approval procedures.
- Manage stakeholders and the wider embedment of the financial risk management framework at local as well as at group level.
We are looking for a highly qualified individual with a university degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a similar quantitative field, ideally complemented with further training in risk management or finance. Actuarial education (Aktuar DAV or comparable qualification from another actuarial association) or the intention to complete/start it is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills combined with the ability to explain and present on senior management level.
- Experience in risk modelling, experience with coding languages (R) is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English, German skills at least at an intermediate level.
