Amer Sports is on the lookout for a skilled (Senior) PMO Consultant to manage the IT project portfolio for our various brands and group functions. This position plays a vital role in establishing and promoting best practices, implementing the PMO methodology and toolkit across the organization, and assisting senior leadership in strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will enhance the execution of IT initiatives through enforced standards and practices, ensuring comprehensive and consistent management reporting.
Key Responsibilities- IT Project Portfolio Oversight: Manage the IT project portfolio for designated brands and group functions, ensuring accountability and adherence to best practices.
- Implementation of PMO Methodology: Deploy PMO methodology and toolkit organization-wide for effective project portfolio tracking.
- Continuous Process Enhancement: Regularly refine and uphold the Amer IT PMO framework, applying central best-practice processes and toolkits (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Testing tools).
- Project Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on the performance of project teams, ensuring all IT project deliverables align with business cases and quality standards.
- Support for Major Initiatives: Collaborate on significant projects and programs as a dedicated PMO consultant.
- Toolkit Maintenance: Provide second-level support for the PMO toolkit and manage personal projects as required.
- Consultative Role Development: Evolve into an in-house consultant for comprehensive project management.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT project management or PMO-related roles.
- In-depth understanding of software development methodologies and IT architecture.
- Exceptional presentation abilities, both visual and verbal.
- Fluent in English communication.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong strategic, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Technical knowledge of systems and software development.
- Professional dedication and enthusiasm for advancing the PMO.
- Expertise in IT project and portfolio management.
- Experience with Agile DevOps methodologies.
- Understanding of business processes across various functions such as Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
