Sustainability Manager with Focus on Environmental Responsibility

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Sustainability Manager to join our team at RSM Ebner Stolz. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our clients on environmental and social responsibility matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable business strategies for our clients, taking into account environmental and social considerations.
  • Conduct environmental and social due diligence on behalf of our clients, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for sustainable practices.
  • Work closely with our clients to develop and implement environmental and social management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide training and support to our clients on sustainable business practices, including the development of non-financial reports and climate balance sheets.
  • Collaborate with our clients to identify and address sustainability-related risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with their business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability, sustainable finance, environmental due diligence, human rights, or circular economy.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental and social standards, including CSRD/ESRS, GRI, TCFD, and UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
