About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Assistant to join our team at Evonik. As a key member of our tax department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the tax team to prepare and submit tax returns, tax closing work, and tax audits.
- Independently handle trade tax allocation in Evonik's German tax group.
- Serve as the central contact person for IHK notifications.
- Register foreign creditors according to § 50a EStG.
- Prepare notifications according to § 138 II AO for Evonik.
- Represent the functional assistant.
Requirements
- Completed training as a tax clerk or tax specialist.
- Several years of professional experience in the tax department of an industrial company or a tax consultancy firm.
- Independent and structured way of working.
- Excellent command of English and very good written and spoken German.
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a confident demeanor.
- Strong communication and cooperation skills.
- Strong interest in IT processes and IT systems.
