Accounting Manager

Sonoco, a leading global provider of innovative packaging solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Controller. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to drive business growth and profitability
• Oversee accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Manage fixed assets, including depreciation and amortization
• Coordinate and support tax audits and compliance
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including management and external partners

Requirements:

• Relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including HGB and US GAAP
• Proficiency in financial software, including Oracle
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
