Business Analyst

Sonoco, a leading global provider of innovative packaging solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Controller. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to drive business growth and profitability
• Oversee accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Manage fixed assets, including depreciation and amortization
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

• Relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including HGB and US GAAP
• Proficiency in Oracle accounting system and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
