Job Summary

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Funds Accountant to join their team in Germany. As an IMPREST Operator, you will be responsible for delivering business continuity through the financial hub within the garrison, and supporting visiting exercising units throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the IMPREST/COM and associated bank account, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Assist in the management of the administration department, providing financial guidance and support to team members.
  • Coordinate and lead a small team to provide Firm Base and Host Nation services to the wider garrison community.
  • Provide management resilience during absences, and work with multiple higher formations as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • IMPREST qualified.
  • Full and valid driving licence.
  • Experience in financial management, preferably in a military or government setting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Relocation allowances are available, subject to availability. Cost of Living Overseas Allowances is payable based on personal circumstances and marital status.
