Renewable Energy Procurement Lead

Position Summary: We are in search of a skilled and proactive Renewable Energy Procurement Lead to become a vital part of our team. This position entails overseeing procurement operations for our wind energy projects, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted efficiently, economically, and in line with the strategic objectives of the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies tailored for offshore and onshore wind energy initiatives.
  • Oversee the complete procurement lifecycle, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and finalization.
  • Engage with project leaders, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ascertain project needs and timelines.
  • Recognize and address procurement risks to guarantee project success.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Track and report on procurement metrics, including cost efficiencies and supplier performance.
  • Guide and develop a team of procurement specialists.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement leadership, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Experience with wind energy projects is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
  • Proficiency in German (C1 level) is essential for managing contracts.
