About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architecture Lead to join our team at ZEISS. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing platform software architecture that meets the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and design platform software architecture that aligns with our business goals and objectives
  • Enable dedicated teams to achieve solid software component design and delivery
  • Anticipate emerging trends and derive a software architecture roadmap that meets our business needs
  • Ensure the software architecture fulfills non-functional aspects such as scalability, extendibility, and flexibility
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on technical and management levels
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
  • Excellent experience in software architecture, with a proven track record of influencing multiple teams and subprojects
  • Strong understanding of embedded software, networking, cybersecurity, and scalable software architectures
  • Experience in architecting safety and non-safety areas, preferably under medical standards
  • Proficiency in modeling under UML/SysML and programming languages such as Python, C, and C++
  • Excellent communication, technical leadership, coaching, and moderation skills in English and German (B1 level)
