Financial Accountant

As a key member of the EU finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful running of the team. Your responsibilities will include:
\u2022\u00a0Supporting all month end (and year end) procedures for the preparation of management accounts, including review of the P&L, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and ensuring accurate accruals and prepayments.
\u2022\u00a0Actively contributing to the team's success by deputizing for the Finance Managers when they are on leave and proactively picking up and completing tasks as necessary.
\u2022\u00a0Assisting in the preparation of statutory financial statements for the German company in accordance with German Accounting Standards.
\u2022\u00a0Preparing the German quarterly VAT return and becoming the team's expert on VAT related matters.
\u2022\u00a0Supporting the business on finance related matters, ensuring that the financial impact of actions taken by the commercial team is understood.
\u2022\u00a0Providing insight and commentary into monthly margins and expenditure reports, highlighting key variances/deviations from budget and forecasts, and offering recommendations to remedy shortfalls.
\u2022\u00a0Overseeing and reviewing the monthly cash flow requirements forecasting for all currency accounts in conjunction with group cash flow management.
\u2022\u00a0Providing support to other members of the finance team to ensure business continuity during times of annual leave, absence, and busy periods.

\u2022\u00a0Continuous improvement of the billing process.
