Site Assessment Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Assessment Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group. As a Site Assessment Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing root cause analysis for general field issues, performing load calculations, and documenting results in technical reports.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute root cause analysis for general field issues, identifying causes and solutions in a short-term and cost-effective manner.
- Perform load calculations for class or site-specific conditions, as well as concept studies for novel solutions development.
- Document results and assessments in technical reports, and provide support during certification or claims-related tasks.
- Optimize controller functions and support the design of different components in a multidisciplinary team.
- Support service projects and project work according to Nordex project management system.
- Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the toolchain and methodologies, based on feedback from on-field situations.
- M.Sc. or equivalent in mechanical engineering/physics or similar, with specialization in dynamics and simulation.
- More than 5 years of experience in similar roles/functions.
- Knowledge of recognized standards such as IEC.
- Professional experience with aerodynamic simulation tools, such as Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5.
- Good knowledge of dynamic simulations of complex systems in industrial applications, as well as fatigue analysis methodologies.
- Optional skills in general analysis software (MATLAB, R), structural mechanics, automation tools, or wind modeling-related tools (WindPro) and fluid computational (CFD) tools.
- Good team player with strong communication skills, dynamism, and flexibility in a shifting daily work environment.
- Fluent in English, with skills in Spanish and/or German as an asset.
