Data Center Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at AVANTGARDE Talents GmbH. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Hardware Management: Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of data center equipment, including racks, hard drives, switches, and servers, according to specific instructions, checklists, and standard protocols.
- Quality Control: Perform post-execution quality checks to verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with data center equipment, quickly identify the cause(s) of problems, and replace faulty components as needed.
- Hardware Refreshes: Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes, such as memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
- Incident Reporting: Follow procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components, as well as first experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Software Skills: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Language Skills: Strong written and spoken English skills required.
- Experience: Previous datacenter experience a plus.
