Project OverviewOur research focuses on the optimization of sugar-based, mesoporous carbon materials for energy storage applications. This project aims to further develop and scale up the synthesis process, exploring the potential for recovering salts from the washing solution for reuse. The successful candidate will work independently in the laboratory and pilot plant, interpreting and presenting results.
Responsibilities- Conduct literature research on membrane technology and its applications
- Develop a concept for scaling up individual process steps
- Optimize the washing step using a dead-end membrane test cell
- Produce mesoporous carbons, potentially using recovered salts
- Present and interpret results in a clear and concise manner
- Studies in natural sciences or engineering (chemistry, mechanical engineering, environmental/process engineering, or similar)
- Practical experience in laboratory work or conducting experiments on technical systems
- Independent and conscientious scientific work ethic
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
