Field Service Engineer – Feeding and Dosing Solutions
Our expanding service division within the cement industry is looking for a dedicated field service engineer to focus on our feeding and dosing systems. In this role, you will take charge of installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting primarily related to our FLSmidth Pfister feeding and dosing products.
Role Overview
Expect to spend over 180 days annually traveling to customer sites, which will serve as your main work environment. Although your base will be in Germany, you will have the flexibility to travel directly from your home location.
Assignments typically last from a few days to several weeks, with most tasks concentrated in Europe, although global opportunities are available.
As a member of our expert team of field engineers, you will provide vital support to our clients worldwide, acting as their primary contact on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct independent operations at cement facilities and related industries globally. Oversee commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of feeding and dosing apparatus. Provide training to clients either on-site or in our workshop. Perform assembly checks, calibrations, and equipment approvals. Collaborate with customers to offer remote support while identifying sales leads and opportunities.Qualifications
Educational background in electrical fields such as electronics, instrumentation, or electromechanics. Strong mechanical aptitude and skills. Proficient in articulating and discussing technical issues with clients. Fluent in English, both spoken and written (knowledge of German is advantageous). Readiness to travel frequently and adapt to a dynamic work environment with short notice travel requirements. Familiarity with weighing, feeding, and dosing equipment in the cement sector is preferred. Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, and/or Beckhoff PLC systems is a plus.Application Process
