Field Service Engineer – Feeding and Dosing Solutions
The cement industry service sector is expanding, and we are looking for a dedicated field service engineer to support our feeding and dosing product line. In this role, you will take charge of installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting primarily for our FLSmidth Pfister feeding and dosing equipment.
Role Overview
Expect to spend over 180 days traveling each year, with customer locations serving as your main work environment. Although your base will be in Germany, you will have the flexibility to travel directly from your home.
Assignments typically last from a few days to several weeks, with most tasks concentrated in Europe, but with opportunities for global engagement.
As a vital member of our specialized field engineering team, you will provide essential support to our clients worldwide, acting as their primary contact on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Perform independent operations at cement plants and similar facilities globally. Oversee commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of feeding and dosing machinery. Conduct training sessions for clients either on-site or in our facilities. Execute assembly checks, calibrations, and equipment approvals. Collaborate with customers to provide remote support while also identifying sales leads and opportunities.Qualifications
Educational background in electrical engineering, electronics, instrumentation, or electromechanics. Strong mechanical aptitude and skills. Proficient in discussing and explaining technical concepts to clients. Fluent in English, both written and spoken (German language skills are advantageous). Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to a dynamic work environment with short notice travel requirements. Familiarity with weighing, feeding, and dosing systems in the cement sector is a plus. Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, and/or Beckhoff PLC systems is beneficial.Application Process
