Position Overview

The EMBL is seeking a dedicated individual to support the advancement of our science education initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our teacher training programs and fostering connections within the educational community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute strategies to elevate the visibility of the EMBL teacher training initiatives across various Member States.
  • Assist in the establishment and nurturing of local networks for educators and training opportunities.
  • Forge partnerships with educational and research organizations to broaden the reach of our programs.
  • Engage with schools and extracurricular programs throughout Europe to promote our offerings.
  • Leverage digital platforms, including social media and email outreach, to enhance program awareness.
  • Support the administration of the teacher training program, including content creation and event coordination.
  • Organize meetings, manage databases, and prepare necessary documentation and presentations.

Qualifications

  • A degree in communications, public relations, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in outreach or public relations, ideally within the education sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce engaging promotional content, such as articles, social media updates, and marketing materials.
  • Strong aptitude for building and maintaining relationships with educational institutions and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • A collaborative spirit with a proactive and friendly demeanor.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
