About Us

Thomas Brown Recruitment is a leading Global Health and Wellbeing organization seeking to hire a proactive and skilled bilingual Senior Accountant to enhance our European Team.

The role is situated in Munich, and the successful candidate must possess fluency in both German and English.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager for the EMEA region, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring precise financial reporting and managing the financial operations for the German division.
  • Overseeing accounting functions for various European entities, including billing, general ledger maintenance, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and conducting special analyses.
  • Maintaining comprehensive general ledger reconciliations with sufficient documentation for all balance sheet accounts.
  • Providing insightful financial reporting, analysis, and commentary.
  • Establishing and upholding the company's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Coordinating with external auditors for the annual audit of the German division.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
  • Several years of direct experience in accounting.
  • Experience in supporting annual audits.
  • Proficiency in German GAAP is essential.
  • Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities.
  • Must be fluent in both German and English.
