About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator to join our team at Deutsche Börse AG. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and administering our Linux server systems, ensuring the reliability and stability of our trading systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Management: Upgrade, patch, tune, and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • High Availability Infrastructure: Maintain and ensure the reliability of our high availability infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime.
  • Advanced Support: Provide 3rd level support to advanced users, resolving complex issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Server Setup and Refresh: Plan and execute setup, hardware, and software refreshes for critical IT server solutions, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Shift Work and On-Call: Be willing to work on shifts and participate in on-call duty rotations, providing 24/7 support to our trading systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience: Several years of system administration experience, preferably in a sensitive environment.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation, monitoring, maintenance, tuning, and troubleshooting, as well as good knowledge of Git for version control.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate in an international team.
  • Language: Proficiency in both German and English.
