As an Area Manager:in at Amazon Deutschland N13 Transport GmbH, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our logistics network. Your primary focus will be on maintaining high-quality standards, improving productivity, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

• Lead and Develop a Safety-Centric Culture: Foster a culture of safety and well-being among your team members, ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Analyze and implement changes to ensure high-quality and productivity standards are met, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Project Management: Lead and manage projects aimed at process optimization, productivity enhancement, and quality improvement for customers in your area of responsibility.
• Shift Management: Analyze and implement measures to improve operational excellence, in line with company guidelines, and collaborate with colleagues to standardize shift procedures.

You will work in a shift-based environment at one of our locations, ensuring that operations run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Your focus will be on leading and developing a safety-centric culture, maintaining quality and performance standards, and driving process improvements in your area of responsibility. A typical day may involve routine team management, daily operational tasks, process improvements, and broader operational tasks as needed. You will also serve as a role model and mentor for new managers.

The Logistics department at Amazon Deutschland N13 Transport GmbH is responsible for 'Last-Mile Logistics' - the delivery of our packages in partnership with third-party providers. We think creatively and implement initiatives to continuously improve, delivering millions of physical products to our customers. Our goal is to make the delivery experience as seamless as possible for our customers and introduce global delivery solutions for our latest offerings, including Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.

This work is carried out by two employee groups. Our 'internal' employees prepare millions of products for shipment to our delivery teams. Our team is people-oriented and helpful, especially since many of our employees work night shifts. Our focus is primarily on operational operations. Most of our locations operate around the clock.

Our 'field service' employees work with Amazon Flex - a network of contractors for delivery. Every year, we set new standards for customer experience and offer new, innovative delivery services. We are looking for new ways to overcome logistics challenges across the industry and reduce our carbon footprint. A fleet of innovative vehicles (including electric vehicles) and modern technology support us in this.
