Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled CH-47 Aircraft Mechanic 3 to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on the CH-47 aircraft, including assembly, modification, and repair of major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and related systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the CH-47 aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts and components.
  • Assemble and modify aircraft systems, including fuel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft systems and components.
  • Repair and replace defective components and assemblies.
  • Direct the work of lower-graded mechanics and coordinate with other trades to ensure proper sequence of aircraft assembly.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, repair procedures, and replacement of parts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical publications and military technical data.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience required.
  • FAA A&P or FCC Elements 1 and 3 required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust.
  • US Citizenship required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance.
  • Valid US Passport required for deployment to Germany.
Working Environment

The selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The candidate must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The candidate must also be able to lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
