Project Manager for Chip Development in E-Mobility

Job Description

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for initiating, planning, steering, controlling, and closing chip development projects in the field of high-voltage Si and SiC power semiconductors for automotive E-Mobility. This includes setting up teams, planning resources, timelines, work packages, budgets, and controlling documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, plan, and steer chip development projects for high-voltage Si and SiC power semiconductors in automotive E-Mobility.
  • Conduct project activities for external chip customers across different sites in Munich, Dresden, Villach, and Malaysia.
  • Guide project teams from a technical perspective.
  • Manage and evaluate risks efficiently using FMEA methods.
  • Plan experiments, analyze outcomes, and assess test chips and prototypes.
  • Consult and act as an interface to internal customers, including Application Engineering, R&D, Marketing, and production sites.
Requirements
  • A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field, preferably with a PhD.
  • First relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Project management knowledge, including project initiation, planning, and closing, including reporting and documentation.
  • The ability to understand and structure complex project situations and consolidate and present them to senior management level.
  • A technical understanding of power electronic device physics, chip development, and semiconductor processing.
  • Excellent English skills to interact successfully with cross-functional teams globally, with German as a plus.
