Production Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer to join our team at Advantest Europe GmbH. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated test systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, upgrade, calibration, and maintenance of Advantest test systems according to quality standards
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of systems
  • Integration of systems and services into customer environments
  • Installation, adaptation, and configuration of systems software according to customer requirements and Advantest regulations
  • Solving a broad range of hardware and software problems of varying scope and complexity
  • Collecting, evaluating, and providing customer requirements for consideration in product improvements and new product developments
  • Handling short-term projects and achieving results by applying project management methodology
Requirements
  • University degree or technical school education in electronic engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of MS Office and preferred skills in Linux (Redhat) operating system and IT networks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
  • Ability and motivation to work in teams and in a global environment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and to work under pressure
  • Fluent English language skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • German language skills
  • Knowledge of Python or Perl programming languages
