We are seeking a highly qualified and internationally recognized scientist to fill the position of Full Professorship in Educational Science with a focus on Adult Education and Continuing Education at the Institute of Educational Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the field of educational science with a focus on adult education, further education, and lifelong learning at the Institute of Educational Science.
  • Participate in existing and planned research priorities of the department and the university, including digitality, inclusion/diversity, and democracy education.
  • Provide conceptual input into the department's degree programmes, particularly in the focal areas assigned to the chair and in the development lines within the framework of the department's target agreements.
  • Teach educational science and assume responsibility for teaching adult education/continuing education and lifelong learning at Bachelor and Master level.
Requirements
  • A MSc-degree or equivalent and a very good relevant doctorate in the field of educational science.
  • Further academic work with a clear focus on adult education/further education/lifelong learning, including digital forms of teaching and learning.
  • Additional relevant achievements after completion of the doctorate (habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements).
  • Nationally and internationally recognised research activities and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience in the successful acquisition of third-party funding.
