Role OverviewAs a Business Intelligence Specialist at AUVESY-MDT, you will be instrumental in the advancement and refinement of our Software as a Service (SaaS) Business Intelligence product. This role involves utilizing the Power BI platform to provide our clients with insightful data visualizations and analytics. You will work within a dynamic Scrum team, focusing on the creation and maintenance of Power BI data models, the design of interactive dashboards, and the integration of Power BI components into our applications.
Key Responsibilities- Data Modeling: Develop and design efficient Power BI data models, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and optimal performance.
- Dashboard Creation: Craft visually engaging and interactive dashboards that deliver actionable insights to users.
- Power BI Expertise: Keep abreast of the latest features and updates in the Power BI ecosystem, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Embedded.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of Power BI components into our SaaS offerings.
- Performance Enhancement: Identify and resolve performance issues in Power BI reports and dashboards to guarantee a smooth user experience.
- Data Transformation: Clean and transform data from various sources to prepare it for analysis and reporting in Power BI.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of datasets and reports from initial conception to deployment in production environments.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of Power BI solutions, data models, and best practices for team reference.
- User Training: Provide training and support to end-users and colleagues to ensure effective utilization of Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Intelligence Specialist with a robust portfolio of Power BI projects.
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Embedded.
- Strong skills in data modeling and knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Experience with data visualization best practices and design principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with SQL and data warehousing concepts is advantageous.
