Postdoctoral Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Berlin Institute of Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing patient samples for single-cell RNA sequencing analysis, as well as evaluating the data and correlating it with clinical parameters.
Key Responsibilities- Collection and processing of patient samples for single-cell RNA sequencing analysis
- Evaluation of single-cell data and correlation with clinical parameters
- Development of questionnaires in collaboration with project partners
- Close collaboration with practicing pulmonologists for patient recruitment, participation in the creation of ethics applications and patient information materials, and patient instruction in wearables
- Preparation of project reports and publications
- PhD in a relevant field (Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Immunology, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in molecular biological analyses and data evaluation
- Experience in publishing scientific results
- Enthusiasm for answering scientific questions and a desire to build a scientific career
- Independent working style and team skills, high engagement, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of bioinformatic analyses of NGS data (e.g. scRNA)
- Knowledge of establishing patient cohorts, ethics applications, etc.
- Fluent German language skills in speech and writing
