About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified researcher to join our team at Universität Bielefeld in the philosophy of language department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and pursuing an independent research project within the philosophy of language, with a focus on semantics, pragmatics, or meta-semantics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct original research in the philosophy of language, with a focus on the nature, grounds, and consequences of open texture.
  • Develop and implement a research project that aligns with the goals and objectives of our research group.
  • Collaborate with other researchers within the project, including Prof. Nimtz and Prof. Zakkou.
  • Participate in the activities of the CRC 1646, including workshops and a philosophical 'thinklab' on creativity in general.
Requirements
  • PhD in philosophy or a related field.
  • Strong background in the philosophy of language, with a focus on semantics, pragmatics, or meta-semantics.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in conducting research in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Knowledge of German or willingness to learn.
