Junior Professional Legal Collections Specialist

Job Title: Junior Professional Legal Collections France

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Professional Legal Collections France to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Bank Service Center GmbH in Berlin. As a key member of our commercial business team, you will be responsible for managing the whole commercial business around financial services for Mercedes-Benz vehicles in France.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute after contract termination tasks and decide upon file treatment, including debt sale, bailiff, or external lawyer treatment.
  • Negotiate with qualified customers about potential settlements.
  • Execute day-to-day insolvency handling to get funded vehicles back as quickly as possible and limit risk.
  • Handle our Litigation portfolio and give direction and follow-up on outsourced relations, including bailiffs and lawyers.
  • Prepare write-off files for approval in the local market.
  • Support credit analysts and give regular feedback to the credit department, including post-mortem process.
  • Support projects relevant to collections.
Requirements:
  • Degree in French Law or equivalent.
  • Experience in debt collection and litigation.
  • Strong experience in negotiating with customers.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Proficient in French (native speaker level).
  • Proficient in English.
  • Other languages are considered a plus.
Personal Skills:
  • Have 'people skills' and a good understanding of how to deal with lawyers/customers/suppliers in France.
  • Self-reliant way of working.
  • Ability to build good relations with our customers.
  • Be structured and be able to work well within deadlines.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
