Your Responsibilities
Are you enthusiastic about sustainability and the associated transformation processes in society? Do you want to actively drive the ESG-oriented evolution of business and operational models? Are you eager to significantly shape the transition towards a more sustainable economy and provide guiding insights for ESG-oriented corporate governance? If so, you are in the right place:

  • Collaborate with our clients to develop sustainability strategies that address industry-specific challenges and uncover ESG value potentials.
  • Analyze the implications of the ESG strategy on our clients' business models (market, customer/channels, competition, product portfolio).
  • Evaluate the implications of the ESG strategy on our clients' operational models (core processes, infrastructure & technology, organization & governance, employees & culture).
  • Lead comprehensive transformation projects by deriving concrete actions from the sustainability strategy and supporting the implementation of the strategy.
  • Act as the primary contact for our clients and assist the project team in addressing complex strategic questions.
  • Continuously advance the development of ESG strategy solutions tailored to market and client needs.
  • Independently create discussion and proposal documents for conversations with potential clients.
  • Contribute to our KPMG-wide and international ESG sector team and actively participate in our global KPMG Impact Community with over 1,000 ESG experts.
Your Profile
  • As a (Senior) Consultant (m/f/d) in Strategic Advisory – ESG Corporate Transformation, you will have a degree in (business) engineering, computer science, natural sciences, economics, humanities, or a related field.
  • You are passionate about the sustainable shaping of the future and ideally have experience with ESG topics such as decarbonization, circular economy, biodiversity, sustainable supply chain management, or ESG ratings.
  • You have at least five years of professional experience in strategy development, private equity, or ESG transformation – experience in consulting is advantageous.
  • You possess initial project management and leadership experience.
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual skills and enjoy tackling complex questions.
  • You are capable of developing innovative consulting approaches and building successful client relationships.
  • Additionally, you demonstrate excellent communication skills and have fluent English proficiency. Other language skills are a plus.
  • As our clients operate globally, you are willing to travel. International experience is beneficial.
  • Your teamwork skills and persuasive demeanor complete your qualifications.
