Algorithmic Research Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Quantitative Analyst (m/f/d) to become a vital part of our team at BIT Capital GmbH in Berlin.
From the outset, you will engage with our quant team to perform quantitative analysis aimed at deriving actionable insights and crafting systematic trading signals and strategies.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Generating innovative ideas for trading signals, identifying patterns, and developing backtesting methodologies
- Collaborating closely with senior members of the Quantitative Team on research publications and systematic trading strategies
- Working alongside the Data and Fundamental Research Team to address complex research inquiries
- Assisting in the creation of tools that facilitate the testing of our strategies and enhance portfolio management
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline with outstanding academic performance
- Deep understanding of statistical methodologies, machine learning techniques, time series analysis, and modeling
- Highly organized and methodical in your approach to work
- Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL; knowledge of R is advantageous
- Initial experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) is a plus
- Familiarity with data structures and database systems is beneficial
- You possess a strong passion for technology and quantitative investment strategies
