Your Role

The Business Information Security (InfoSec) Enablement team at ZEISS Group is dedicated to enhancing corporate information security with a strong focus on business support and enablement. This global function is responsible for assisting ZEISS Business Segments and Units in implementing a strategic agenda that incorporates security by design, tailored to meet customer needs while aligning with the overarching ZEISS information security strategy. The team leads the global Business Information Security Organization, committed to facilitating and coordinating ZEISS-wide initiatives that bolster the Information Security programs and activities of various Business Segments, fostering synergy and standardization across the organization. The primary objective is to empower Business Segments and Units to deliver secure and resilient business solutions and products efficiently while meeting customer expectations regarding information security.

As a Senior Digital InfoSec Architect, you will be responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-level information security architecture and technological solutions that ensure security by design, supporting secure digital transformation and beyond.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define and develop the digital business security architecture for Digital & Data capabilities, creating security architecture artifacts such as models, templates, standards, and procedures to enhance security capabilities in projects and operations.
  • Ensure alignment between security architecture frameworks and standards with the overall digital business strategy.
  • Act as an information security expert and trusted advisor to IT partners and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, functional area architects, and security specialists to ensure the implementation of relevant and effective security solutions across all digital systems and platforms.
  • Provide insights on security architecture for digital transformation strategies, reference architectures, multi-year architecture roadmaps, and investment planning.
  • Contribute to the alignment of security governance with digital capabilities.
  • Conduct research into emerging technologies, architectures, and security products to meet the security requirements of the digital enterprise, its customers, business partners, and vendors.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the information security strategy.
  • Analyze business impacts and exposure based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.

Your Profile

  • Professional education or studies in Information Security (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) or a comparable combination of education and work experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF, or SABSA are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in developing security architecture artifacts and reference architectures for digital, data, and IoT platforms, preferably within the manufacturing sector or a similar field.
  • Experience in managing third-party service and technology providers throughout various lifecycle stages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on effectively influencing others and translating digital security architecture concepts for business and technology leaders.
  • A collaborative mindset with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse, multicultural internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and authoritatively to diverse audiences, both orally and in writing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various digital application architectures and the supporting cloud infrastructures.
  • Understanding of how emerging business and end-user technologies impact information security requirements and architecture.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships outside the IT function with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German or other languages is a plus.
