Overview
Wolt is seeking a dedicated Senior Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) to enhance our Courier Payroll Team in Berlin. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate payroll processing for our couriers across Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee payroll preparation, ensuring compliance with labor laws, corporate policies, tax regulations, and social security requirements for Germany and Australia.
- Manage registrations and certifications, maintaining communication with health insurance providers, social security institutions, and tax authorities.
- Conduct thorough checks and analyses of test payrolls to guarantee timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Address specialized topics such as garnishments, parental leave, and other relevant matters.
- Continuously improve and refine internal payroll processes.
- Support payroll tax and social security audits, along with application procedures.
- Compile statistics, evaluations, and year-end financial reports.
- Collaborate with the finance department for account reconciliations.
- Handle claims management involving employees and health insurance entities.
Qualifications
- Completed commercial training, preferably with additional credentials in payroll accounting.
- Strong understanding of tax and social security legislation.
- Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
- Fluent in German and proficient in English (minimum C1 in German and B1 in English).
- Familiarity with payroll software like Datev LODAS and personnel management systems, as well as SV-Net and the ELStAM process.
- Experience with ADP Celergo is advantageous.
- High service orientation and a structured, responsible approach to work, including thorough documentation.
- A collaborative team player, adept at using digital communication tools such as Slack and Zoom.
- Eligibility to work within the EU.
