Renewable Energy Performance Specialist

This role can be located in either Berlin or Madrid - please submit your CV in English.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise energy simulation outputs for large-scale PV and hybrid energy systems (PV/Wind/BESS).
- Conduct sensitivity analyses of energy simulations to support the financial assessment of project prospects.
- Establish internal benchmarks and protocols for energy simulation, performance testing, SCADA specifications, and more.
- Analyze operational data of PV plants to ensure performance aligns with industry standards.
- Draft technical documentation for performance evaluations, testing, and commissioning of PV plants.
- Examine site conditions, weather data, project documentation, and public records to inform detailed energy simulations and technical specifications.
- Communicate technical insights and recommendations to both internal teams and external stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, consultants) through meetings and written reports.
- Offer technical guidance and training to colleagues and new hires.
- Collaborate with team members to finalize proposals for the design and construction of PV projects.
- Oversee construction phases as necessary.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in PV, with prior involvement in energy simulation for hybrid systems (solar, wind, energy storage).
- Familiarity with project workflows and experience in leading technical aspects of projects from inception to completion.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German, Spanish, or Portuguese is advantageous.
