About the Role
Munich Re is seeking a highly skilled Claims Governance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Claims Management department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance of our claims processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal reviews of claims units to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Review and analyze claims management tools to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and implement changes to address any issues identified.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of claims guidelines, work instructions, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
- Ensure that all claims-related authorities are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze risks and identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability within claims processes and complete the Operational Risk and Control Self-Assessment (ORCS).
- Participate in claims-related project work and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
- Develop and deliver training programs on claims governance topics to ensure that all stakeholders have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
- University degree in law or a related field.
- Experience in claims management and governance, preferably in the reinsurance or direct insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
