Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive Full Stack Developer to be a key player in our DevSecOps team within the Siemens Smart Infrastructure cloud ecosystem. This essential role focuses on enhancing our automated release processes, enabling smooth continuous deployment.
In this position, you will work with a variety of technologies and topics throughout our comprehensive development lifecycle, which includes coding, security, testing, operations, documentation, compliance, monitoring, finance, and alerting. Cultivating the right mindset and culture will be vital for empowering our teams.
Our objective is to remove all manual interventions from our release processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative products (microservices), frameworks, or tools while ensuring the integration of advanced third-party solutions, focusing on security, compliance, and quality management to achieve continuous deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment and integration of DevSecOps practices.
- Build frameworks and infrastructure that assist teams in monitoring productivity and managing cloud and tool-related expenses.
- Support teams in resolving challenges related to our DevSecOps processes and toolchain.
- Engage in pair programming to share your expertise and learn from fellow team members.
- Commit to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in developing Microservices (both serverless and non-serverless) and utilizing Git.
- Proficient in cloud-native software development tools, including platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Strong background in DevSecOps and cloud infrastructure management, with knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Solid understanding of security principles, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban.
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with colleagues on all tasks and share knowledge.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
