Product Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our team at KOA Germany GmbH. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales revenue and profitability of our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor market dynamics, including customer preferences, industry trends, and regulatory changes, and adjust category strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Develop and implement F&B product portfolio strategies and plans that support execution of KOA value propositions to deliver sales revenue and bottom-line targets.
- Define and manage the product portfolio assortment, including assortment planning, selection, and optimization, working closely with product innovation.
- Define the channel strategy, shortlist and select channel partners to maximize sales performance and profitability of the product portfolio.
- Collaborate with communications to define and manage visual merchandising, displays, and shelf layouts.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and execute promotional plans to drive category sales and increase brand visibility.
- Determine pricing strategies and manage price positioning, including tactical promotions, to optimize sales and profitability.
- Annual and rolling sales forecast planning that supports operations with inventory management, facilitating consistent product availability along channels and at POS.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of the product portfolio and suppliers.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including sales representatives and marketing, to ensure the successful execution of product portfolio strategies.
- You are outgoing, interactive, and love to work at the intersection of market, customer, products, and people.
- You are fascinated by the various facets of consumer motivation and trends, and eager to translate these into winning product marketing concepts for KOA.
- You love to work with people and are a natural communicator with a sense of humor.
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business administration with a focus on marketing, or an equivalent academic qualification in food science or innovation.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in FMCG Product/Brand Management or ingredient marketing.
- You are self-driven, motivated, persistent, and resilient with an ambitious get-it-done mindset.
- You are willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license, you manage all modern IT tools with ease, and get excited about using the latest tech developments.
- You are based in the greater Cologne Area or willing to relocate and have a valid residence permit in Germany or are in possession of a citizenship which is part of the Schengen Agreement.
- You are fluent in German and English (both min. B2/C1), any other European language is a plus.
KOA Germany GmbH is part of a Swiss-Ghanaian Scale-Up in its growth phase, disrupting the cocoa value chain in West Africa. KOA is the first and so-far only company in the world processing the fresh cocoa fruit in cooperation with smallholders in rural Ghana. Through KOA's activities, the farmers increase their income significantly and upcycle an additional 40% of the cocoa pulp. As a B Corp, we believe in creating positive change, one upcycled cocoa fruit at a time. From farmers to the planet, we're here to make a difference that matters, where it matters most.
