About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and highly qualified SAP Consulting / Engineering Manager to spearhead our SAP Team and supervise the execution and delivery of various SAP initiatives.At EPAM, you will have the chance to not only drive our SAP business expansion across the DACH region as an architect and specialist but also nurture our onsite team of expert professionals dedicated to supporting the successful completion of our regional projects. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing flexibility to work remotely while occasionally visiting client sites.
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee a team of SAP specialists, providing direction, guidance, and support Assume responsibility for technical and functional leadership, future-proof architecture, and maintaining quality standards Offer technical expertise and architectural guidance in SAP configuration, customization, and integration Conduct performance assessments, identify training requirements, and promote a culture of continuous learning within the SAP Team Encourage collaboration between SAP consulting and engineering teams and other departments Articulate the business value of SAP solutions and illustrate how the design and system architecture will contribute to achieving business objectives Prepare estimates for project timelines and budgets, resource allocations, and quality metrics Coordinate the preparation of client proposals and statements of work for SAP projects Collaborate with Architects and Project/Delivery Management teams to analyze, design, build, test, and effectively implement SAP solutions Manage client expectations, relationships, and issues in conjunction with account managers throughout the project lifecycle Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data privacy standards in all SAP project activitiesQualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Proficient in German and English Over 8 years of extensive experience in SAP consulting and engineering, focusing on SAP S/4HANA and SAP DSC implementations Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing SAP teams and delivering complex projects Comprehensive knowledge of the SAP product portfolio, architecture, configuration, integration, and customization Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address technical challenges Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels Proactive and self-driven attitude, with a passion for staying updated with the latest SAP technologies and industry trendsPreferred Skills
