Job Title: Certified Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to support our Physical Performance and Readiness program at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to mitigate physical and ergonomic stressors and optimize airman performance. This includes providing consultation, education, and training to military commanders/senior leaders, physical training (PT) leaders, and medical staff on the subject of PT, fitness, and musculoskeletal injury prevention.

Responsibilities
  • Observe and/or participate in squadron activities to identify physical and ergonomic stressors that increase the risk of mission-related occupational injury.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to mitigate physical and ergonomic stressors and optimize airman performance.
  • Provide consultation, education, and training to military commanders/senior leaders, physical training (PT) leaders, and medical staff on the subject of PT, fitness, and musculoskeletal injury prevention.
  • Administer health screening and fitness assessments, exercise prescription, progressive individual fitness programs, and demonstrate proper exercise techniques.
Requirements
  • Have and maintain a prescribed certification approved by a nationally-recognized professional organization.
  • Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
  • A Master's Degree from an accredited university program in physical therapy, athletic training, exercise science, exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength, and conditioning, or a related field is highly desirable.
