Technical Support Specialist

Role Overview:

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal user assistance and system functionality within established timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive end-user assistance (2nd / 3rd Level) and maintain system uptime.
  • Safeguard data integrity, system security, and privacy compliance.
  • Support IT initiatives and project implementations.
  • Collaborate with regional and global IT teams on specialized topics.
  • Keep IT leadership informed about progress and any issues at supported locations.
  • Deliver agreed IT services across multiple sites.
  • Oversee and manage work requests to ensure adherence to SLAs, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in quality improvement processes to address common user inquiries and challenges.
  • Assist with infrastructure modifications aimed at enhancing performance, cost-efficiency, or functionality.
  • Identify and escalate critical issues promptly.
  • Participate in compliance activities related to IT policies and directives.
  • Support local business leaders in coordinating IT and business support efforts.
  • Maintain oversight of IT assets (hardware and software licenses) and their validation status.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of IT processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent IT certification.
  • Extensive experience in desktop support, systems integration, or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated capability in medium to large organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
  • Customer-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in German and possess good English language skills (both spoken and written).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
