Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with experience in steel construction to lead planning and execution processes independently. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating static concepts and 3D models, managing static documentation, providing technical guidance for tenders, advising other departments, optimizing assembly concepts, and occasional travel.

  • Lead planning and execution processes in steel construction, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Develop and implement static concepts and 3D models for engineering projects, utilizing software such as Tekla.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for structural planning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage load data and static documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Advise other departments on structural matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
  • Lead technical teams in tendering and supplier selection, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the company.
  • Collaborate with the assembly department to optimize assembly concepts, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Occasional travel to suppliers or construction sites (approximately 2% of working time) to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Qualified Structural Engineer with over 2 years of experience in structural planning.
  • Proficient in Eurocodes and statics, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with software such as Navisworks, Tekla, R-FEM, and BIM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and a high level of teamwork, with a strong focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Open-minded personality, willing to share knowledge and take responsibility.
  • Fluent in English; German and French are a plus.
