As a Sustainability Specialist at Quantis, your responsibilities will include:

Your goal is to assist global corporations in understanding and enhancing their environmental performance while collaborating on actionable strategies for organizational change and effective communication of their sustainability efforts.
With over three years of experience in Climate Strategy, including goal setting (Science-Based Targets, Net Zero), mitigation strategies, carbon accounting, and reporting frameworks, ideally complemented by consulting experience, you possess a robust understanding of environmental science.
Experience in Footprinting / Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or a desire to develop related technical skills is advantageous.
You exhibit a science-based orientation and possess a strong intellectual curiosity combined with excellent interpersonal skills.
Your affinity for conducting technical analyses, modeling, and data management is evident.
You are capable of collecting, processing, managing, and interpreting data in a manner that is accessible to audiences with varying levels of sustainability knowledge.
Your ability to extract valuable insights from analyses and prepare clear, compelling reports and presentations is essential.
As a strategic thinker, you can lead processes and provide clients with actionable recommendations in the climate strategy domain.
Your proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is noteworthy.
You possess strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
You are enthusiastic about teamwork and supporting your colleagues.
A Master's or PhD degree in environmental engineering, sciences, or related fields is required.
You communicate effectively in German and English.
AS A SUSTAINABILITY SPECIALIST – CLIMATE, YOUR DAILY ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Consulting with clients to help them comprehend and implement Climate Strategy topics alongside our experienced project managers, formulating client recommendations on sustainability with input from other Quantis team members.
- Creating innovative solutions to tackle Climate Strategy challenges in collaboration with the relevant key account manager.
- Addressing topics such as SBT, neutrality, compensation, reduction roadmaps, carbon pricing, and risk analysis.
- Conducting various quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the development of client sustainability solutions, including life cycle assessments (LCA), corporate and/or product footprinting (carbon, water, etc.), and climate impact reduction scenario modeling.
- Preparing clear and persuasive reports and presentations of analyses, results, insights, and recommendations to facilitate effective communication with clients.
- Assisting the project team in guiding clients through the understanding and implementation of solutions.
- Supporting the sales process when requested, including contributing expertise to proposal development and client meetings.
- Identifying opportunities to assist others and taking initiative.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- Location: Flexible remote-working policy.
- Frequent collaboration with other Quantis branches via web-conferences.
- Occasional travel may be required.
