As a Sustainability Specialist at Quantis, your responsibilities will include:

With over three years of experience in Climate Strategy, including goal setting (Science-Based Targets, Net Zero), mitigation strategies, carbon accounting, and reporting frameworks, ideally complemented by consulting experience, you possess a solid foundation in environmental science.
Experience in Footprinting / Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or a keen interest in developing related technical skills would be advantageous.
You have a science-based orientation and a strong intellectual curiosity, paired with excellent interpersonal skills.
You are adept at performing technical analyses, modeling, and data management.
You can collect, process, manage, and interpret data in a manner that is accessible to audiences with varying levels of sustainability knowledge.
You have the ability to derive valuable insights from analyses and prepare clear, compelling reports and presentations of your findings.
As a strategic thinker, you can lead processes and provide clients with clear recommendations in the climate strategy domain.
You are proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
You possess strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
You are enthusiastic about teamwork and supporting your colleagues.
A Master's or PhD degree in environmental engineering, sciences, or related fields is required.
You communicate effectively in German and English.
AS A SUSTAINABILITY SPECIALIST – CLIMATE, YOUR DAILY TASKS WILL INCLUDE:
- Consulting with clients to aid their understanding and implementation of Climate Strategy topics alongside experienced project managers, formulating client recommendations on sustainability with support from other Quantis professionals.
- Creating tailored solutions to tackle Climate Strategy challenges in collaboration with key account managers.
- Addressing topics such as SBT, neutrality, compensation, reduction roadmaps, carbon pricing, and risk analysis.
- Conducting various quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the development of client sustainability solutions, including life cycle assessments (LCA), corporate and/or product footprinting (carbon, water, etc.), and climate impact reduction scenario modeling.
- Preparing clear and persuasive reports and presentations that communicate analyses, results, insights, and recommendations to support the project team's client communications.
- Assisting the project team in enhancing clients' understanding and implementation of solutions.
- Contributing to the sales process as needed, including providing expertise for proposal development and client meetings.
- Identifying opportunities to support others and taking initiative.

- Location: Flexible remote-working policy.
- Frequent collaboration with other Quantis branches via web-conferences.
- Occasional travel may be required.
