About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps/SRE Engineer to join our team at Spark Networks. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing large-scale systems that ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build fully fledged web services or applications, collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement new rollouts and large-scale systems, leveraging expertise in automation and system design to drive success.
- Automate post-deployment smoke/integration tests to validate production changes, ensuring high-quality and reliable systems.
- Act as an advocate for adopting best practices in system design and automation standards, driving innovation and improvement across the organization.
Requirements
Who We're Looking For
- Experienced Engineer: At least 4 years of experience with AWS, serverless, and container technologies, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and building CI/CD pipelines using GitOps and SRE principles, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
- Scripting Skills: Proficient in development/scripting with Golang, Python, or Bash, with experience in automating tasks and workflows.
- Collaborative and Organized: Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and good organizational skills, with a ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- On-Call Experience: Previous experience and willingness to work on an on-call basis, with a focus on ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Experience with Ansible, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, JVM is a plus.
