Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Information Security Engineer to join our Information Security Team in Munich.
This role requires a senior specialist who can bridge global cybersecurity programs with local execution, ensuring robust protection across all regions while adhering to the highest standards and policies established by the headquarters.
Vision and StrategyThe ideal candidate will plan and implement the cybersecurity strategy for the EU region, aligned with the global security vision and goals, and work with members of the EU cybersecurity team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
They will facilitate communication and coordination between EU and other regional cybersecurity teams to address cross-regional threats and incidents.
Global Cybersecurity OperationsThe successful candidate will actively participate in global cybersecurity operations, including vulnerability remediation and risk control, and identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks within the EU region.
They will ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including data protection laws and industry standards.
Incident Response and ManagementThe Senior Information Security Engineer will manage the response to cybersecurity incidents in the EU region, ensuring timely and effective resolution, and coordinate with global incident response teams to manage incidents that have cross-regional implications.
They will lead the deployment and management of cybersecurity technologies and tools, ensure regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration tests, and generate regular reports on the cybersecurity posture of the EU region to the global CISO.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with management experience as a plus.
They will have experience in cybersecurity compliance, regulatory compliance, or related roles, including GDPR, NIS2, Cybersecurity Framework, and others, and strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
Excellent cross-regional collaboration skills, with experience working in a global organization, and in-depth knowledge of EU cybersecurity regulations and data protection laws are also required.
