We are seeking a highly motivated logistics professional to join our Freight Forwarding branch in Hamburg. As an Ocean Freight Specialist Import, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the initiatives of our Regional Freight Forwarding Operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage file creation and all services associated with freight forwarding and logistics, ensuring seamless execution and timely invoicing.
- Assist with account start-up, liaising with sales to ensure required documentation and information are provided.
- Monitor and audit files weekly for compliance with estimate input, profit margin setting, and timely invoicing.
- Provide clients with complete sailing details to ensure proper flow of information.
- Liaise with ocean lines to procure the best possible solutions for capacity and cost.
- Network with fellow operations colleagues to ensure proper support in case of workflow overload.
- Degree in logistics or a similar discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Freight Forwarding industry with a focus on Ocean Freight.
- Ability to drive strong execution of initiatives, ensuring that countries get things right the first time.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to analyze numbers and attention to detail.
- Excellent command of both English and German.
