Supply Chain Planning Specialist

The role of a Supply Chain Planning Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our supply chain. This position entails strategizing and overseeing the flow of products to satisfy customer needs, optimizing stock levels, and reducing expenses. The Specialist collaborates with various teams, including Supply Chain Planners, warehouse operations, and Commercial and Finance departments, to synchronize supply strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and sustain inventory forecasts that align with demand projections.
  • Oversee warehouse capacity planning for both short-term and long-term horizons, analyzing potential risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and enhance inventory levels to fulfill customer requirements while minimizing holding costs, including forecasting out-of-stock or excess stock risks.
  • Evaluate data and track performance indicators to pinpoint areas for enhancement and execute solutions.
  • Support operational cost efficiency through effective warehouse capacity management by monitoring incoming capacities and assessing risks associated with future shipments, ensuring optimal routing and adjustments in container arrivals.
  • Coordinate and oversee orders from international suppliers, anticipating how changes in estimated arrival times will impact stock availability and warehouse capacities.
  • Create reports and deliver insights to relevant stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives with business objectives, streamlining operations and enhancing overall supply chain performance.
  • Adopt best practices and innovative strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that offers flexibility for remote work, although certain responsibilities may necessitate visits to operational sites.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI).
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, particularly in retail or e-commerce settings.
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools, including ERP systems and logistics management platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while effectively managing competing priorities.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written) is essential.
